DENTIST

Seth and I both got a filling this week... And I just wanted to share my lovely experience...

3:20 Get to the dentist, right on time for my appt
3:40 They called me back to a room
3:45 Got numbed up... watched the history channel to keep my mind off the nasty needle injecting numb juice in my body- goodness I hate that part!!
4:00 The assistant comes to check on me ... still no dentist. I change the channel to watch the show where they swap spouses... much more entertaining to me than pyramids at that moment.
4:20 Ask the assistant how much longer it'll be, because I was going to meet Seth at the old apartment in a half hour to finish up our cleaning/move out stuff.
4:30 - NUMBED TO THE MAX, told the assistant maybe I'll need more numb stuff by the time the dentist sees me. He assures that it'll last longer than necessary no matter what. Nice.
4:50 - FRUSTRATED TO THE MAX, Dentist comes in. Finishes the filling in 10 minutes. Comments to his intern and assistant, "Wow, it took me ten minutes to finish Megan up and it took me an hour and a half to do the same in that other patient. Megan's such a good patient. (because of her freaking huge mouth)". I don't think he knew I could hear through the headphones.
5:06 - I walk out of the dentist, with 2 movie tickets from the front desk! That made it all worth it... plus his amazing work makes it all worth it! I recommend him... it was just a busy Monday for him and I got to wait it out the longest.
5:15 Get to Wymount, Seth has all the "to do" list done - perfect husband.

At 6ish Melissa then brought over dinner! She is the best sister-in-law Ever! And it's a good thing my numb mouth only lasted two hours (that'd be 4-6pm ... Ok, okay - it was actually a nice thing that my numb-time was already half over by the time the dentist did anything.) We all ate together - Ben, Melissa, Olivia, Gage, etc. It was so nice to have them over, they do so much for us and finally I feel like we have enough room and an enjoyable home to welcome company into. It was so fun that they stayed a while and had a good time at the new place!
