The youngest of the Hartley Bunch, Kara, has been in town this whole week for an EFY area program up in Sandy. Meaning... it's EFY but they don't stay the night there, they go up every morning - and home every night. She hung out with us last weekend, and we hope to see her Saturday/Sunday before she heads back to Iowa on Monday.
Last weekend we saw UP with her, and went shoe shopping. The wonderful rain/stormy weather kept us from doing outdoor fun stuff, but we had fun. We walked around Orem's little carnival and watched the fireworks Saturday night from our street.
Last night we got Kara and Elizabeth (Kara's BFF) and went to Subzero Ice Cream to hear about their EFY experience so far and to give them that Subzero Experience. It was a fun evening, those two girls are sooo different from each other - and that's what makes them best friends! They're gorgeous girls... The boys are already flocking to them! I wish I had a picture of last night... but all I have is this video of Kara's obsession of grandma's door stops... she discovered them that morning, and it may be her new favorite thing. hmm... just found out the sound doesn't work on this file - Bummer, b/c her laugh is hilarious and contagious. Just 'imagine' it though...
