I know, I know... I'm not as much of a blogger as I have been before. (and even then I wasn't too extreme). We are doing well! I am SO proud to say Seth has not missed A SINGLE CLASS this whole semester... so far! I told him he can get anything he wants (within reason) if he doesn't miss a single class this semester, unless he's sick or we're out of town, etc. I think he's going to do it... I also told him if he gets all A's this semester he can have ANYTHING he wants (with NO limits)! as much as that would ROCK for him... he's convinced that's impossible. But we're still aiming high.
It feels like I have been SO busy lately. I am excited with the weather getting warmer and all the fun stuff that comes with a new year. I'm still playing my oboe in the Pleasant Grove community Orchestra (Concert on March 7th, a Saturday, 7pm) every Saturday morning - which I love. We're playing challenging stuff right now, and I'm loving it.
I'm also a volunteer Team Captain again this year for the SLC Marathon. Last year I was in charge of Hospitality/VIP, but this year I'm going to be on top of Awards - I'm pretty excited. We have meetings in the Huntsman Cancer Institute up in Salt Lake. The race is in April, and they have a TON of fun stuff to be involved with. They have the Marathon as well as other races: half Marathon, Bike - the marathon route (for the most part), 5K, Kids marathon. There are parties the night before and after... it's just a huge party. I'm glad I can be apart of it all somehow. The race is April 17th, go here if you want to register!
Seth and I got new callings recently. In January he was called as the Secretary in the Sunday School Presidency, and since December I've been the first counselor (Education) in the Relief Society Presidency. I am really beginning to absolutely love this calling and the chance to get to know the ward better, and the great ladies in our ward. Plus, I have always had this 'secret' high respect/admiration for the sisters I'm in the presidency with. This whole experience has just been so great for me, I love it.
Also, a huge accomplishment for me... I have exercised on our Elliptical for SIX days in a row so far :) My goal is 28 straight days, and try to get this going as a habit. It's big enough that I'm doing it so consistently - which is the goal now, rather than focusing on really pushing myself. I figure that part will come soon, one step at a time...
THE BACHELOR: So sad Jillian was let go by Jason a week ago. But after seeing last night's "Women tell all" episode, I'm okay with it. I LOVE the things she said last night. And I think she's right on - she may be 'too' much for him - in a very good way. She did so well in front of Jason last night too.
SPOILER ALERT Don't read this... if you don't want to hear the rumors....
There's a rumor going around on the Internet that Jason proposes to Melissa but over the last how many months they've been done filming up until now Jason has dumped Melissa and seeing Molly. I think this is completely BOGUS. But as Jillian's answer in this interview with Reality TV World: ""I don't think Jason is capable of that. If in fact it is true, than I would just go back and blame it on the fact that this is a very unique situation and puts people in a really tough spot. If it is (true) I will obviously stand by my friends 100%, and also Jason and whoever else is involved. I hope that they all find happiness, even if there is a bump in the road, and we'll just hopefully wait and see. I still believe that [Jason] is a really genuine character that was truly looking for love. Whether or not it is true, I hope everybody respects his decision and hopefully everything turns out as planned""
In Chris Harrison's blog about last night he says, " We have not shot the second "After the Final Rose" special yet! I gotta be honest. It's going to be really hard to go back and edit a show we haven't even shot yet." "But we are not responsible for, nor have we ever scripted, the ending of this show. Let me re-type this slowly so all of you can read this: We do not, and have not, decided the ending of any of our seasons." - I think all the rumors are bogus and I'm going to hold off on getting 'worried' about anything. If he chooses Molly overall, I'll be bummed. I'm rooting for Melissa. But I'll cope with and be okay w/ him choosing Molly. I'm watching the finale with co-workers at Betsy's house next week - I CANNOT WAIT!!
Well - that's our update! Sorry no pictures to make it all interesting :)
