Our Eventful Week (last week)... Pictures included!

This has been an exciting last week... I'm writing this Monday because it feels like last week has just now officially ended.
Seth and I love cats and dogs, grew up with both and have always looked forward to future pets. Two weeks ago I learned about BYU's "Emotional Support Service Animal" Policy. If living in BYU housing you can petition to have a "service animal" and with a doctor's note it is usually approved. I totally jumped on that opportunity. The time since my miscarriage/ectopic pregnancy has gone by fast! That whole ordeal was over 7 months ago. I'm hoping with the extremely cute kitten we just got last week I'll keep progressing and I'll be physically 'normal' soon.

Meet Raja! (named by the 2 yr old previous owner, and we like it - so we kept it)
She's 1 yrs old, has a beautifully marked black/white coat, and the best thing that has came into our home since we moved in 20 months ago. She came to us from a home that had a dog, and Raja likes to be the center of attention, so she needed a new home where she could be the center of attention. And that home - is hands down our home. She was free, and came with a litter box/litter, food/food dishes, and her favorite toy - a baby binky.

We got her last Wednesday (our 27 month anniversary, awwww - I know, I know). Thursday I got off work to go with Seth to get her shots/check for a spay scar. It felt like we were taking our baby in for a well baby check. She's great in the car, doesn't freak out too much, just super curious.

We stopped by petsmart and bought her some treats for being so good, but she didn't really like them. It is just so fun to have her at home. She can get pretty crazy, and then moody - doesn't want to be around at all, and then super needy for attention. I love when she talks to us. Anyway - I'm sure we'll post more about her often... but this is our 'kitty', we love her!

Friday night we went on a date to Wal-Mart and the Dollar Store - fun. We bought Raja some fun toys . . . but she still likes her binkies the best. She also has discovered hair ties (which can be found anywhere in our apartment) she loves them.

I tried some new bread recipes late Friday night, pumpkin and a sour cream pound cake. They turned out amazing, I think. And I definitely will be using this pumpkin bread recipe again! The bread was for Super Saturday. . .

Saturday morning was the Dress Rehearsal for our concert this Friday... It will be a fun concert! If you want to come it's Friday (3/6) at 7:00pm, free, at the PGHS auditorium!

Then I hurried back to Provo for the Relief Society Super Saturday! I made lots of great stuff and it was a lot of fun. So many sisters came!! And I was happy they ate all the bread I baked, it means it was good ;) Here are my projects I did:

Vinyl lettering on tiles...

Magnets (SUPER easy and fun) and a Family Home Evening Board.

The Tile - The Things Men Believe In Are The Things They Do... is from the City of Joseph Pageant my family participated in for many years growing up. I used it for my lesson on Sunday in Relief Society. I knew I was going to be teaching since January, but of course didn't actually sit down to put it all together until Saturday night. Which was just fine since Seth had to work again (he worked last Saturday night too) to do some extra new tech stuff they've had to install. Except this time the equipment guys took Seth and his supervisor out to Goodwood for a fantastic Steak Dinner - yea, I was home... I ate cereal for dinner :). I got the lesson all done though and I think it went very well yesterday. I haven't taught a lesson in a while, and thought I would be pretty nervous - but I really wasn't. I'm afraid I talked too fast though? But lots of comments were shared, great discussion, etc so I think everyone would have been able to get something out of it if they wanted to, about charity. Yesterday morning I got some extra sleep, which was so wonderful and needed! But the real relaxing moments didn't come until after church (5pm - so late!!). We had a very nice Sunday evening. It was a fantastic week! It's been good to keep busy, busy. Until next time... here are two videos of our new joy in the home getting her exercise.
