Friday night I did some baking... Seth has bought me chocolate covered strawberries on a Valentine's Day before - and I loved how thoughtful it was. But they are just way too expensive! So this year, I made our own! Super easy. We also made some caramel/chocolate dipped pretzels, and super easy truffles. I also got some cute Valentine's Day boxes from a candy store and made little packages for some friends in our apartment complex.
Saturday, Valentine's Day was busy, busy!! We both were up and going at 7am to get out to Pleasant Grove. I had orchestra from 8-10... and Seth worked on the truck with my brother Ben until 3:00 or so. They put in a new transfer case, it's running a lot more smooth. We still just need to figure out why the 4 wheel drive won't work right.
I helped Aunt Heather with baking, cooking, etc. for the Valentine's Dinner that night. We had taco pizza, delicious! Grandma and Grandpa bought all of us a balloon, so thoughtful and really made the rooms look like a party. Before dinner though we all split up into 3 groups and had a road rally. My team won! Seth, Grandma, Linda, Austin, Robbie and I were all on the same team. We had to do things like find 4 different colored lipsticks to sample and kiss a paper. We had to find Jackie Chan Kung Fu videos (at Ross) and orange nikes. Or take a picture with the target dog. Lots of random little things to get the most amount of points and be back at grandma's in an hour. Though we got their last, just a few minutes after the other two groups - we still kicked trash with points! It was a pretty fun day.
I am grateful I have such a sweet Valentine. Seth bought me some beautiful roses that add a lot to our boring apartment. He takes great care of me and I'm glad he puts up with my clumsy moments. . . which can be a frequent happening. Love you babe!
