Well, our little 2 month adventure has finally 'ended'. My Lab results from yesterday's tests show my hormones to be normal. I was diagnosed with an Ectopic pregnancy the 1st of August. 3 weeks later they discovered a Uterine pregnancy and I miscarried that. Finally the symptoms of miscarriage and pregnant hormones (HCG) have ended and I am "normal". We have been following my HCG level weekly since the beginning of September. Some weeks it wouldn't drop much at all (they were as high as 12,000 - the almost 6 wk range.) But as of my blood work yesterday, it was 2. A non pregnant woman's HCG level is somewhere between 0-5.
We'll never know if it was an actual heterotopic pregnancy, but I think it was. All of the nurses, docs, ultrasound techs all don't have strong answers for my many questions and strong desire for an actual diagnosis. But importantly, I have learned a lot about this experience, and am grateful for the many ways I have grown. Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts as we have gone through this challenging time. Life is just full of fun adventures, right?! More to come, I'm positive... but I'm grateful for what I have learned thus far...

Yay for being normal! I had my cyst removed today and seem to be doing well. So hopefully I am normal now too! I'll post about my surgery tomorrow, so you can read about the details on my blog if you would like.
