We had the busiest weekend ever. . . and I'm so happy because we got so much stuff done! Friday night we got Papa John's Pizza and saw Baby Mama in the Dollar Theater with Davin/Aub and Sarah/Isaac. Baby Mama was alright - there were funny parts, like what they showed in the trailers. But it wasn't as funny as I was hoping for, so we went back to our place and watched a movie that was much more funny.
I had to work Saturday morning for Urgent Care from 8-12, it was a very early Saturday morning! While I was at work Seth started our busy Saturday full of little projects. He put our new full size bed together. We got it free last week!! And is now in our second room, which is officially not just our storage room . . . but a guest bedroom too! (a crowded one)
He also fixed a hose in Betsy (the Beretta) that broke 2 weeks ago. (I'm SO happy I have a husband that can do those car fixer uppers so we don't have to pay a mechanic $100 to do it!!) AND he attached our cable, that runs from our living room through the air duct to our bedroom for our old TV, to the wall so it's unnoticeable, it looks perfect.
We ate some lunch and headed to SLC! I had a coupon for free running shoes that expired today so we had to make a trip up there. (I love them!) To make the trip more worth it we stopped by Ikea to just look around. We have been wanting to get a TV stand and picked a few that we liked but of course they weren't in stock. But in the 'As Is' room we found one of the models we wanted and it had a big scratch on the side of it. . . so it was marked down more than 50%! So we got it. And spent the rest of the afternoon spray painting it black, along with our two bookshelves. That was a project! My right hand/arm has not recovered yet, it is sooooo strained from pushing that blasted spray nozzle down for an hour. But they look great.
While we waited for them to dry we hand washed Alexy (the Aurora). She was absolutely covered with bugs from traveling over 2600 miles through the Midwest!!!! So we scrubbed and scrubbed her squeaky clean. She looks amazing now, tons better! After we got the furniture back together and everything in place we had friends over for a movie. We were more than ready to sit down and relax!
We got a very nice papasan chair from craigslist last week too, it was a steal!! And perfect for what we've been looking for and wanted.

looks like your stuff turned out nice. Did you use special spray paint? your lucky to have found just what your looking for. I want bookshelves to put in our spare room, sooo badly.
If you look closely - it doesn't look as nice, but it is just fine for us! We bought cheap stuff, for the first coat and some very nice stuff for the 2nd coat. And . . . the bookshelves were a steal! Seth's co-worker was moving and she gave them to us for 10 bucks each! Plus, living in wymount we get good deals when people move, everyone just gives stuff away. We got a full size bed, two lamps, bathroom shelves, and a leather couch!
Awesome! Someday, when you move away, are you going to give all that stuff away too?
I'm hoping we'll keep most of it :) but I've never been in the position before - by the time we get out of here, I will probably want to give it all away like the others have.
