My younger brother Aaron reported for Basic early this morning, and officially joined the National Guard. I am sad I didn't get to see him in person before he left, but I will get to see him at Christmas. We did say "see ya!" and chatted a little last night on the phone, he was so excited and happy about reporting this morning. Though he will only be gone to basic until February (back for Christmas) I am sad he will not be easily reached through a wall post on facebook or text, or phone call - as we often do.
We are SO proud of Aaron. He is such a stud, and I am amazed how grown up he is. I am proud he has decided to serve his Country and I know he is perfect for the noble position. He is a very caring, real, and hard-working individual. He has everything you'd want in a best friend and does a thorough job when he really believes in something. He will be a great Guard. We Love you and will miss you Aaron!!
