I LOVE my Family!

As I have mentioned a few times in recent posts, my family came to Utah to visit and for a wedding. My cousin Tyler got married last Saturday. It was awesome that my dad, mom, the oldest, Alicia and her little 14 month girl came as well as the youngest, Kara came. So it was dad and all his girls, how sweet.

Besides the big wedding BBQ, reception, ceremony. Dad took us out for dinner Saturday night at the Pizza Factory - mmm. Sunday we went to church with Ben and Melissa. Melissa made us amazing dinner (it is always amazing when she cooks) and even peach pie!! It was just so relaxed, great time to visit and just be together.

Dad and Kara left for home on the train to get back to school and work. Mom and Alicia stayed until thursday. I love them so much, it was nice to get to know Ellia better since we haven't been around each other too much. Thanks Tim and Dad for sacrificing your amazing wives for almost a week to be with me! It was definitely worth the time off work I took, I hope it was worth their time.I work with amazing supervisors at an awesome job, so I was able to get off work early every single day!! And I took my birthday off. Monday we did some shopping, tuesday was more shopping, and Wed we went to Mama Mia. It was just so nice to be with them. Thursday I got to take the whole day off for my birthday and to be with mom/alicia/ellia. We met up with old Iowa City friends - Cassie/Bee/Amber/Jamie, as well as aunts/cousin - Lynda/Sundee/Lyndee/heather and Gma Unsicker. We all ate lunch at Mimi's Cafe and that was just a good ol' time.

I hate 'good-byes', I cried like a baby after saying good bye to mom (and Alicia and Ellia). I Love my mom a lot, I am always afraid I don't let her know that or that I don't spend my time wisely with her. I am so glad she is coming back in a month for a week so we can see each other again. She is honestly the most sincere, generous, sensitive and caring person I know. And then she is my mom so that just rocks. She is an incredible multi-tasker, busy busy person who always has tons of to-do's on her plate. She raised 7 awesome/fun/successful kids!! She does amazing as so many roles in life: friend, daughter, wife, mom, grandma, and business owner. I don't know how to give her all the credit she deserves. Her service in the church, community, and school districts is just amazing, she always volunteers for way too much, and has a hard time saying no. I just love you so much mom! Thank you - thank you for your example, I do want to become an amazing woman like you. Love you!

I think I take my family situation for granted. They live a little over a half hour away and I see them quite frequently. I wonder how it would be to live a decent road trip away ... Maybe I'll discover what it's like someday. For now, your blog made me really appreciate all my mom does for me. Thanks!
